Police at the Vidhan Soudha station in Bengaluru have arrested a 25-year-old man from Bihar, identified as Hazrat Ali, for using artificial intelligence to create a fake video depicting an explosion at the state legislative assembly and uploading it to Instagram. The accused, who is employed at a private firm in the city, allegedly visited the area in front of the Vidhan Soudha a few days ago, filmed the building, and edited the footage to simulate a bomb blast before sharing it online.
The suspect operated an Instagram account under the handle ‘JNX-King-H-G’. During a routine review of social media platforms, Inspector S.P. Kumar of the Vidhan Soudha police station noticed the deceptive video. Following the discovery, a case was registered and the individual was taken into custody. The accused has stated that he created the content solely for the purpose of making ‘reels,’ and police are currently holding him to gather further information regarding the incident.
