Security personnel at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Devanahalli handed over two men to the police on charges of collecting money from passengers under various pretexts. The accused, identified as Prateek Bhatia and Modela Venkata Dinesh Kumar, were apprehended for their fraudulent activities within the airport premises.

The duo was spotted in Terminal-2 on separate occasions around the 15th and 16th, dressed in saffron robes and wearing garlands to appear as sadhus. They attempted to solicit funds from travelers by claiming they had lost their purses or needed money to travel for examinations. Officials noted that both individuals had previously engaged in similar activities and had also attempted to collect money using QR codes.

In response to these incidents, security surveillance at the airport has been intensified to prevent unauthorized fundraising and to stop such activities from causing inconvenience to passengers.
